AI glossary for business.
The terms that come up on this site and in conversations about AI at work, explained in plain English.
- AI agent
- An artificial intelligence program that acts as well as answers: it looks up information in your systems, writes and sends messages, updates orders and creates tasks. Will is an AI agent for business: it works in the systems your company already uses and tells you what it did.
- Helpers
- Will’s own workers. When a task has many parts, Will splits the work among helpers, each with one part and clear limits, and puts the results together. See Helpers.
- Approval
- When an action goes through a person before it happens. With Will, you decide what it does on its own and what it brings to you. Payments and anything you mark as sensitive always go through you. See how it works.
- Personal AI assistant
- An AI assistant built to help one person with their own work: thinking, writing, researching, planning the day. Muse, Grok Bot and ChatGPT are well-known examples. Will is different: it works for the company, not for one person. See the comparison.
- Right hand
- The person an owner, or a team lead, relies on to know what’s going on, chase things down and get them solved. It’s the role Will plays in the company: you ask, Will does it. See why every company needs one.
- Company brain
- What the company knows, gathered and connected: orders, stock, payments, emails, tasks and decisions, each piece of information with its source. In Will, it’s built from the connected systems: the ERP, the banks through Open Finance, the store, the CRM, Gmail and ClickUp. See Company brain.
- CRM
- Short for customer relationship management. It’s the system that holds customers, contacts and sales opportunities, such as RD Station, HubSpot and Pipedrive. Will reads and updates the CRM alongside your other systems. See CRM.
- Work discovery
- When Will finds stalled work in the company’s systems, without anyone asking, and turns it into a task with a plan: an open order in the ERP, an unanswered supplier email, a boleto (bank slip) due tomorrow. See Work discovery.
- ERP
- Short for enterprise resource planning. In practice, it’s the company’s management system, where orders, stock, purchasing, invoices and finance live. Will works with Bling, Omie, Tiny, TOTVS, SAP, Conta Azul and other ERPs. See ERPs.
- Source
- Where a piece of information came from: the order in the ERP, the bank statement, the supplier’s email, the card in ClickUp. Will shows the source of every answer and says what it couldn’t see, so you know what to trust.
- Integration
- The connection between Will and one of the company’s systems: ERP, banks, store, CRM, marketplaces, carriers, email and chat. With it, Will reads what’s there and works in the system. And if a system has a login, Will uses that too. See them all in Integrations.
- LGPD
- Brazil’s data protection law, the Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados Pessoais (Law No. 13,709/2018). It sets how companies in Brazil may collect, use, store and share people’s data. See how Will handles data in Security and LGPD.
- MCP
- Short for Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI tools, such as Claude, Codex and Cursor, connect to other systems. Through Will’s MCP, those tools use what Will knows about the company, with Will’s permissions. See AI tools and agents.
- Open Finance
- The system, regulated by Brazil’s Central Bank, that lets customers consent to share their account data with other institutions and services. It’s how Will connects to the company’s banks: one connection to see balances, money in and money out across every account. See Open Finance.
- Receipt
- The record of every action: what was done, in which system, when and based on what. With the receipt, anyone can understand later what happened. See Sources and receipts.
- Routine
- Work Will does on its own, on a set schedule: the sales report every Monday, checking the boletos every Friday, following up with late suppliers every morning. See Routines.
